Letter of Attorney from Matilda, widow of Thomas Revisby to her son and heir Nicholas Revisby to implead on her behalf and recover a messuage and half bovate of land in the vill and territory of ‘derleh’, which descended to Matilda and her heirs by hereditary rightr, but had been unjustly detained from her by Siur Robert (…um?)pton and wife Margaret; &c. Dated 10 July Henry IV (1409). In Latin, Fragment of seal on tag. Size: 14 ½ x 3 ½ inches plus tag.
‘Derleh’: Possibly Darley, Derbyshire, but the place name is found also in Yorkshire and other counties.
