D3975 Charter of the King, Reign of John II, Mortgage Receipt, Paris 10 February 1359
The treasury in Paris of the lord king received, and returned to him, from Simon Gargoule, citizen and money-changer, for a mortgage for him from the lords, king and regent, this done by proxy, five golden royals or the [equivalent] value. Calculated by himself regarding the aforesaid royals. Written in the said Treasure 10th day of February, in the year 1359. Robert de Acheriis. Size: 10 1/4 x 2 3/4 inches.
