A genuine leaf from a Psalter.  Written in a gothic hand in dark brown ink.  Versal initials in highly burnished gold leaf or blue on a ground of contrasting penwork.  Line-fillers also in gold leaf with blue tempera.  The text is taken from Psalm 105:9-30 including the recounting of God’s providence over Abraham.  A beautiful leaf from a rare manuscript.  10 ¾ x 7 ¼ inches.
