M6000 Assumption of the Virgin, Cutting from a Choir Book, Venice, c. 1300-1320. This is a genuine cutting from a Choir Book with miaiature depicting the Assumption of the Virgin in a mandorla surrounded by 4 seraphims. The Virgin's drapery and face are very skillful and delicate. M. Francois Avril has described the miniature as Venetian with noticeable Bolognese influence. Size: 4 7/8 x 4 inches.
